The Chordboard opens up the possibilities for musical composition and performance using the MIDI controller technology that has remained standard to musicians and composers all over the world. There are several banks of keys that play certain programmable chords on any MIDI channel. The possibilities are endless.
When a musician is serious about their production on creative projects, the Chordboard makes the musical composition process a snap... the musician can concentrate on the music and not on the technical performance (which can be stressful under pressure). The CX10 Chordboard MIDI keyboard controller takes the stress out of performance, and builds in a natural feel for pure music...the musician us able to focus on style and feel rather than technical accuracy. Yet the ability to create a MIDI musical performance on the MIDI controller keyboard can be even more sophisticated than that done on the typical counterpart: the piano keyboard. The CX10 allows for more complex chord bridging due to the CSB panel described on the pages of this site. MIDI channels can be assigned to any of the chord banks allowing for the use of this MIDI controller for a variety of purposes, including the playing of drum machine sound modules. For example, one chord bank can be assigned to play various tom tom drum sounds, and another can play snares and bass drums, etc. Other chord banks can play via MIDI different sound modules (such as piano and other keyboard sounds), and since the CX10 MIDI controller plays keys that sound similar to the notes generated by a guitar, even stringed instruments can be more accurately rendered using the Chordboard MIDI keyboard controller. This new musical instrument is the wave of the creative future. It will change the learning curve for musical composition down to virtually flat, and put a revolutionary tool into the hands of even the youngest of composers!
