STEP 1  Hook up all USB cables as shown in photos. Make sure power is off for hub and computer.  Turn on computer to Boot the Windows Machine.

STEP 2 Wait for all drivers to load and for Windows to recognize all USB connections to keyboards.  Once your keyboard drivers are installed properly, Windows will recognize these every time you reboot the computer.

STEP 3 Launch STAC software and wait until software completely loads and appears.  If this is the first time launching the STAC software it will prompt you to select the keyboard order from bottom to top. Follow instructions on screen.

STEP 4 SELECT MIDI KEYBOARD ORDER by pressing a key on the bottom keyboard first as prompted on the screen, then hit a key on the second keyboard up, the third, and finally the fourth. The STAC is now listening to input from each of the four keyboards. You will see screen feedback of notes pressed as you press keys on the keyboard.

STEP 5 Click on TOOLS MENU and choose SELECT MIDI OUTPUT DEVICES.  Click on the drop down menu the MIDI device output desired where you want the MIDI signal routed.  This is usually a MIDI cable box choice such as OUT A, etc.

Software is ready to use. Have fun!

QUICK LAUNCH for MAC OSX

The STAC installs extremely easy on a MAC.  Just plug in the four USB MIDI controller keyboards to a USB hub, plug the hub into a USB port on the MAC, then connect a MIDI cable interface box (optional), all whether the MAC is on or off.  The MAC instantly recognizes all devices.  Next, launch the Chordboard STAC software and follow the simple onscreen instructions (select keyboard order, etc), and you are up and running in less than a minute.  Optionally select a MIDI out destination (ie MIDISPORT, DAW plugin, etc.) from the TOOLS menu.  Play!

Customer Feedback:

“I hooked it up and it works great...I'm a Mac user with very little experience with Windows and after following your Windows instructions for about 5 minutes I had the Chord Board singing. Thank you so much.”
