The octave buttons allow setting each chord bank individually to the pitch zone that best suits the song, by shifting the value of each note played up or down 12 half steps. With eight different chord zones, it is possible to program two adjacent chord banks to the same chord root, but one is set an octave higher or lower, which essentially doubles the range of a particular chord. Another application is to skillfully press the plus or minus key during performance to achieve the same effect using only one bank of keys. Either way, there are no limitations as to which note values will be played in the musical scale. The current status of all chord structures are shown in the LCD displays (one for each chord bank) |
